Google Meet recently received an update that allows administrators to receive data on the bandwidth of meeting participants. Google summarizes the data in a graph that provides precise information.
Workspace administrators can now view at what exact moment you experienced connection issues with meetings in Google Meet. Administrators will get insight into the available bandwidth and the amount needed by Google Meet via clear graphs. Furthermore, the graph provides information about bandwidth availability over a specific period of time.
More precisely
Similar information was already available to Workspace administrators. Although back then it only reflected an estimated average of bandwidth over the entire length of a conversation. The new tool now shows each person’s bandwidth down to the second.
Google says in the announcement that the data should help resolve connectivity issues and improve call quality. “We hope that with this detailed information, administrators can easily troubleshoot problems or improve call quality for their users.”
