Getac releases a new generation of the ZX10: a tablet that does not shy away from challenging work environments. The tablet is robustly built, but at the same time light.

Getac announces a new model of the ZX10 tablet. This 10-inch Android tablet is not limited to office use thanks to its rugged case and is just designed for professionals in challenging work environments. The manufacturer knows its marketing trends, as the device should also be able to deliver AI-ready performance.

Robust and lightweight design

The new Getac ZX10 has a Qualcomm QCS6490 processor with an NPU. This is important to mention because without an NPU, there is no AI-ready performance. The tablet has 8 GB of LPDDR5 memory and up to 256 GB of Universal Flash Storage (UFS). The 1000 nits screen is readable in bright sunlight and works even in the rain or with gloves. An optional active stylus is available for those who do not want to dirty the screen.

Weighing 906 grams, the ZX10 is the lightest fully rugged 10-inch tablet on the market. The case meets MIL-STD-810H and IP66 standards and can withstand drops up to 1.8 meters. The tablet functions in temperatures from -29°C to 63°C.

Connectivity and battery

The tablet supports dual SIM (Nano SIM + eSIM), WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. Optional configurations with 4G LTE, 5G Sub-6, NFC and a barcode reader are possible. This allows you to use the tablet even in places where there is no WiFi connection, which is no luxury for workers in the field.

Thanks to the hot-swappable battery with two batteries, the ZX10 can be used for long periods of time. A single battery configuration is available for fixed mounting on vehicles. Optional high-capacity Li-ion batteries offer longer operating time.

Essentials Suite

Getac is turning back the clock and running the ZX10 on Android 13, so now that Android 15 has been out for several months, the tablet is still a bit behind. The target audience for this tablet does not need the latest software: for them, long-term support is more valuable. The ZX10 receives quarterly security updates for five years. The device is further certified by Android Enterprise and supports at least three Android OS upgrades.

In addition, the tablet is compatible with the Getac Essentials Suite, a suite of software solutions for efficient management and monitoring. This includes applications such as Getac Management, Getac Monitoring, OEMConfig and Driving Safety, although these will not roll out until April.

The ZX10 tablet is available as of now. We requested pricing information from Getac.
