Getac Launches B360 plus: World’s First Rugged Copilot+ PC

Getac launches a rugged Copilot+ PC unveiled: the B360 Plus. The device is both rugged and equipped with an NPU.

Getac launches the Getac B360 Plus. This is a Copilot+ PC, which meets Microsoft’s requirements to receive that label. Specifically, it has a light NPU chiplet on the processor that specializes in AI tasks.

Currently, there’s not much you can do with it. The NPU helps with efficient background blurring and should enable (light) local AI tasks in the future, but more than a year after the launch of the so-called AI PC, this functionality remains absent in practice.

Premiere

Getac prides itself on the B360 Plus being the world’s first rugged Copilot PC. Rugged devices from Getac and Panasonic typically feature slightly older hardware, as reliability is the priority. This allows Getac to claim the premiere.

In theory, the AI component can be useful for the rugged device. It is designed for use in challenging conditions, where good connectivity is not always guaranteed. Local AI offers possibilities in such cases. Now it’s just a matter of waiting for effective applications that fully utilize the NPU.

The B360 Plus is the latest addition to Getac’s B360 series and will be available in the third quarter of 2025. We don’t know the price yet. Earlier this year, Getac launched the B360 G3 and B360 Pro G3.

Other Announcements

In addition to the B360 Plus, Getac also introduced the rugged S510 laptop and the Android tablet ZX80. Both are equipped with AI-ready processing capabilities, Getac emphasizes. The company provides concrete examples of what this can mean, pointing to the monitoring of production environments with edge computing and image recognition.

AI helps here in detecting safety risks and reducing maintenance costs. For emergency services, there are possibilities with AI-zone applications combined with body cameras, GIS analyses, and Getac Voice. The latter solution supports voice commands and speech-to-text to increase operational efficiency.
