Asus is launching a new version of its ExpertBook B3. The business laptop will feature the latest Intel processors.
Asus is expanding its business laptop portfolio with the ExpertBook B3 G2, available in 14-inch and 16-inch versions. The laptop succeeds the 2024 ExpertBook, leaving Asus room for improvement.
The ExpertBook B3 G2 runs on Intel Core Ultra 7 or Ultra 5 processors from the chipmaker’s latest Series 3 family. Businesses can equip the device with up to 96 GB of DDR5 memory via two SO-DIMM slots and up to 6 TB of storage thanks to two M.2 slots.
14 and 16 inches
The 14-inch version (B3405CAA) weighs at least 1.45 kg and measures 15.92 mm in thickness. The 16-inch variant (B3605CAA) is slightly heavier at 1.83 kg and is 15.94 mm thick. Both models have a 16:10 aspect ratio and offer a choice between a WUXGA panel (1,920 x 1,200) at 60 Hz or a WQXGA screen (2,560 x 1,600) with 144 Hz and 400 nits brightness.
Only the 14-inch model is optionally available with a touchscreen. Both sizes can be equipped with a 5 MP IR camera for video conferencing, alongside FHD and FHD+IR options.
Security and connectivity
Asus equips the ExpertBook B3 G2 with the ExpertGuardian security platform. This includes TPM 2.0, dual-ROM recovery, and support for NIST SP 800-193. The laptop also passed MIL-STD-810H testing procedures.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 or 6.0, depending on the configuration. Ports include two Thunderbolt 4 connections, HDMI 2.1, two USB-A ports, RJ45, and an optional smart card reader.
The battery capacity is 50 Wh or 63 Wh. Asus includes a 65W USB-C adapter in the box. Asus has not yet shared the exact price or availability.
