Three years after the last version of the iPad mini, Apple is bringing innovation to its smallest range of iPads. The compact 7th-generation iPad mini is armed with an A17 Pro chip and supports Wi-Fi 6E and 5G for high-speed connectivity.
Earlier this year, Apple introduced the iPad Pro, which was the first to show off the M4 chip. Now it is finally the iPad mini’s turn for renewal. Apple announced the 7th generation iPad mini, three years after the launch of the previous model. This latest version is armed with an A17 Pro chip for Apple Intelligence features, and offers (for an additional cost) Apple Pencil Pro support.
The 7th-generation iPad mini will be available starting Oct. 23 in blue, purple, starlight and space gray. The base model comes with 128 GB of storage and is available starting at $609.
7th generation iPad mini
The iPad mini is the smallest iPad in Apple’s lineup. The company is now announcing the latest version of the iPad mini that will be available starting Oct. 23. This version joins the already three-year-old 6th generation iPad Mini. In terms of design, the latest iPad mini is very similar to its predecessor. The 7th generation features an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with rounded corners and Touch ID.

However, a new chip cannot be missing. The 7th-generation iPad mini is armed with the A17 Pro chip, which offers enough power to support Apple Intelligence. While this sounds promising, it is not yet certain whether Apple will come to Europe with Apple Intelligence.
Work faster
The new iPad mini supports Wi-Fi 6E and 5G for fast connection on the go. Furthermore, this version is compatible with the Pencil Pro stylus, although it is also possible to use the Apple Pencil with usb-c. According to Apple, the battery also lasts a whole day, so you can work anywhere.
