The invitation shows a multicolored Apple logo possibly referring to the colors of new devices. You can watch the livestream on March 8 at 7 p.m. our time.
An Apple invitation often includes a hint around potential announcements or new features, but this time we don’t get much wiser. Other than different colors that may be associated with the new devices, we don’t see any other clues.
According to rumors, Apple is likely to announce a new iPhone SE model, the first with 5G connectivity. The phone would get the new A15 chip on board and better cameras. The design remains unchanged, according to rumors. Thus, the iPhone SE will remain the only model with a traditional Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
Another potential device Apple may announce on March 8 is a new version of the iPad Air with 5G and a new CPU. The event may coincide with the launch of the new iOS 15.4 update that introduces Air Control (a keyboard and mouse for two devices) and Face ID facial recognition with a mouth mask.
This spring, new Mac devices should also see the light of day with the successor to Apple’s M1 chip, but we consider it likely that this announcement will be announced in a separate event in the coming period.
