Zoom brings ZoomMate to market, an AI agent that directly links conversations and meetings to execution. The assistant looks up information, creates documents, and performs actions without users having to switch applications.
Zoom introduces ZoomMate, a new AI tool that is generally available starting today for customers in North America. Zoom’s new AI assistant converts meetings into concrete work without losing the context of conversations. The idea behind ZoomMate is that conversations form the central layer of modern collaboration, as that is where decisions, approvals, and next steps are determined.
Search, coordinate, and complete
ZoomMate combines three core functions. Through agentic search, the tool searches not only Zoom itself but also external systems such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Workday. This allows a user to automatically retrieve relevant customer data, open tickets, or project updates before a meeting without having to search manually.
Next, the orchestration layer takes over. Based on meeting context, agents can initiate follow-up actions, schedule appointments in Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, update records, and start onboarding processes. The goal is for recurring processes to run automatically, without teams having to intervene manually at every step.
Finally, ZoomMate helps with completing concrete actions. Based on what was discussed in a meeting, the tool generates presentations, documents, spreadsheets, and project plans. These are also automatically updated without manual synchronization.
Concrete applications per team
Zoom targets ZoomMate at various user groups. Sales teams can automatically retrieve account data from Salesforce before a call and immediately have a follow-up proposal drafted based on the meeting summary afterwards. Product and engineering teams can link open Jira issues to action items from meetings and convert them into structured plans.
HR and operations teams can use ZoomMate to answer policy questions via linked knowledge bases and to automatically start onboarding workflows once a start date is confirmed. The tool also integrates with Google Drive and SharePoint for document management.
ZoomMate is available today in North America at twenty dollars per user per month, including AI credits. Expansion to other sectors and regions, including Europe, is planned for later in 2026.
ZoomMate is intended to be the next step in Zoom’s broader platform vision: an environment where live collaboration leads directly to finished work, without losing context along the way. The company wants to position itself as more than just a meeting tool to remain relevant in the AI era.
