Workday is introducing a new platform, Agent System of Record, where companies can centrally manage their AI agents.
Agent System of Record, that’s the name of Workday’s new AI platform. It allows companies to manage all their AI agents in one central location. This system should help companies deploy AI agents more efficiently, manage costs and ensure compliance. In addition, the company is introducing new role-based AI agents, which can take on multiple tasks within specific business processes. The Agent System of Record and the new role-based AI agents are expected later this year.
AI agents bundled together
Workday is launching a platform for businesses to bundle all their AI agents, both Workday and third-party, in one place. This platform helps organizations better organize and control their digital workforce as AI agents play an increasing role within business processes.
According to the company, the growth of AI agents comes with new challenges, including ensuring compliance, managing costs and evaluating the impact of AI within an organization. Without a centralized system, companies may face fragmented operations and increased security risk. The Agent System of Record therefore provides functionalities such as AI onboarding, real-time monitoring and cost optimization.
Role-based agents
In addition to the centralized platform for AI agents, Workday is launching role-based AI agents. These agents will be able to perform multiple tasks within a specific business domain. Workday is already introducing several role-based agents, including Contracts Agent, which analyzes contracts and exposes risks, and the Financial Auditing Agent, which audits transactions and reviews internal controls. These and several AI agents will appear on Workday Marketplace.
