Windows Server 2025 is now generally available. The server operating system has received numerous improvements in this new version.

Windows Server 2025 brings many improvements in security, flexibility and performance over the previous version. One such improvement is Accelerated Networking, which makes managing single-root I/O virtualization for virtual machines easier. That process, in turn, reduces latency and CPU usage.

Furthermore, the Windows 11 version gets Task Manager, block cloning, local password management, a revamped user interface for the file explorer, as well as improved network management and monitoring options.

More streamlined work process

Active Directory has received new features such as an option for a 32k database page format, which increases data processing capabilities. In addition, Active Directory gets new schema updates to optimize domain management. Features have also been added to restore missing core attributes of AD objects.

Azure Arc integration simplifies the management of on-premises and cloud infrastructures. This integration gives organizations more flexibility to manage their IT infrastructure as a cohesive whole, whether it is local or in the cloud. Better data security and encryption is possible thanks to standard LDAP encryption and support for TLS 1.3.
