WhatsApp is further expanding the interactive possibilities of channels with a quiz feature.
After Android, iOS users in the beta phase are now also getting access to a new quiz feature for channels, intended to involve followers more actively in updates. The feature is in the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS (version 25.36.10.71), according to WABetaInfo.
Polls with only one correct answer
A new option will appear in the menu for sharing updates for channel administrators: Quiz. This is similar to the Poll function. Administrators can enter a question, add multiple answer options and use images. The difference is that one correct answer must be indicated in advance.

Once the quiz is published, it will appear in the channel like a regular update. Followers can choose one answer. Those who choose the correct answer will see confetti on their screen.
Actively involved
Afterwards, administrators can view the results. They can see how many times each answer has been chosen and who participated. With quizzes, WhatsApp wants to make channels less static. Instead of just reading updates, followers are actively involved. This makes it suitable for short knowledge questions, playful challenges or highlighting important points. Quizzes also provide administrators with useful information: which topics are popular, how many people participate and where knowledge or interest lies. This can help to better tailor future content to the audience.
The quiz feature is currently available to a limited group of iOS beta testers. A wider rollout is expected later.
