WhatsApp Aims to Provide a Clearer Overview of Its Messages and Conversations
WhatsApp is working on a thread feature that groups replies to specific messages in a separate view, reports The Verge. This should help to better structure long and cluttered conversations. Users should no longer need to scroll to find earlier responses.
Clearer Conversation Structure
With the new feature, all replies to a message are grouped in a separate thread, allowing users to immediately see which responses belong to the original message. This applies to individual chats, group conversations, and channels, although the ability to reply in channels is still in development.
The feature was discovered in the Android beta update 2.25.7.7 by WABetaInfo and is still in the testing phase. A preview shows that WhatsApp displays all reactions to a message in a pop-up. Users can tap on a quoted message to see the full thread, although it appears that the original message does not show up in this view.

WhatsApp has been equipped with many new features lately. The messaging app received these improvements, among others: improved quality of calls, voice messages that are converted to text, and private mentions. It is still unclear when WhatsApp will officially release the thread feature.
