SAP launches a new generation of role-, context-, and process-aware Joule Assistants designed to collaborate with humans in specific functions.

SAP introduces a series of new Joule assistants at its SAP Connect event. These AI assistants work contextually with people in various functions and are designed to help increase productivity and improve decision-making within the SAP Business Suite. Additionally, the company strengthens data accessibility through SAP Business Data Cloud Connect, with Databricks and Google Cloud as the first partners to utilize this.

There will also be specialized Joule agents per business domain. For international trade, for example, there is an agent that advises on customs tariffs and commodity codes. In HR, three new agents answer frequently asked questions and perform analyses in natural language. In SAP Ariba, a new bid-analysis agent helps compare supplier offers based on total costs, accelerating procurement processes.

Data Exchange

In addition to AI, SAP strongly focuses on data accessibility through SAP Business Data Cloud Connect. This platform connects the SAP Business Data Cloud to external partner environments. Thanks to ‘zero-copy sharing’, data remains within SAP systems while being simultaneously accessible via the customer’s data platform. This reduces duplication and simplifies data exchange. The first partners utilizing this solution are Databricks and Google Cloud.
