Google makes it possible to send files between Apple and Android users.
With Android’s Quick Share or Apple’s AirDrop, you can easily and quickly exchange images or files with each other. Until now, it wasn’t possible to share files between Android and Apple users. Google is changing this today. Quick Share and AirDrop will now work together, making file transfer between iPhones and Android devices easier. The rollout starts with the Pixel 10 family.

Doesn’t everyone in your friend group or family have an Android or Apple phone? Then it can sometimes be difficult to quickly exchange files or photos with each other. Google is now changing this. The company is making changes to its Quick Share tool so that files can also be exchanged between Apple and Android users.
This should improve interoperability between both operating systems. Earlier this year, Apple introduced RCS or Rich Communication Services. Google did this last year already. RCS improves conversations between iPhones and Android smartphones, the new interoperability between Quick Share and AirDrop should enable file transfer. The rollout starts with the Pixel 10 family.
