Lenovo has introduced its renewed range of Workstation Solutions. Lenovo Access is the star of the new portfolio.

Lenovo targets its Workstation Solutions at sectors such as engineering, design, architecture, data science, and research. The company states that users need more than just powerful hardware. Therefore, it developed a series of reference architectures consisting of hardware, software, and services. These are tailored to common bottlenecks in professional workflows.

The solutions utilize ThinkStation and ThinkPad P Series workstations. These run on recent Intel or AMD processors and feature professional Nvidia RTX GPUs. The systems are certified for software packages commonly used in professional environments.

Lenovo Access

With this announcement, Lenovo specifically highlights Lenovo Access. It’s a remote access solution built on workstations instead of shared servers or virtual desktops.

The solution is built on seven rack-mounted ThinkStation P3 Ultra SFF models, combined with Mechdyne’s TGX protocol for remote graphics. Each system includes, among other features, an Nvidia RTX 4000 SFF GPU and Intel Core Ultra processors with clock speeds up to 5.7 GHz.

Users get exclusive access to their workstation through Lenovo Access, including real-time control. This makes the solution suitable for tasks such as design reviews or training sessions. Management is done remotely with tools like ThinkStation BMC, Intel vPro AMT, and AMD Dash. Security is supported by the ThinkShield portfolio. The solution strongly resembles HP Anyware.

Lenovo indicates that it plans to further focus on expanding these solutions, tailored to the specific needs of professional users in the coming period.
