Google’s new experimental feature provides a podcast-like answer to your search query.
Google is experimenting with a new AI-driven search feature in Google Search. This feature generates an audio summary of your search query, resembling a podcast conversation between two people. Google uses its latest Gemini models for this purpose. The feature is currently still in the experimental phase, but users can already test it in Labs.
Podcast host
Google has rolled out a new experiment that integrates a “podcast host” into Google Search. When you ask the search engine a more nuanced or complex question, you receive a spoken summary of the answer. This feature is only relevant for questions that require an in-depth answer about topics you are unfamiliar with.
Users can activate this feature via the “Generate audio summary” button. After a 40-second wait, you will hear the answer. For the AI audio summaries, Google uses its latest Gemini models.

With this feature, Google brings a podcast experience to its search engine. The audio summary features two voices speaking to each other. Users can sign up to test the experiment in Labs.
