Google Chat is coming to Google Meet soon. Meeting participants can then more easily review reactions, links, or other comments from the chat.

Imagine you’re in a Google Meet meeting where many links, images, or other important comments are added via chat. Previously, you couldn’t easily find your chat history after a Google Meet call. Google is now changing this with the integration of Google Chat.

From November 10, Google Chat will be part of Google Meet and will save all shared links, messages, or images. This allows all participants to easily review the chat history before or after the meeting.

“Meeting participants can now react to messages with emojis, and share images and files directly in Google Meet,” Google said in a blog post. In addition, participants can already send documents or meeting materials to the group in Google Chat before the start of the meeting. These resources remain available in Google Chat, even after the meeting.
