Now the company announces that it is bringing Gemini 2.0 to AI Overviews. This will allow users to get answers to more complex questions, such as coding or multimodal search queries. The improved version of AI Overviews is currently only available in the US.
Gemini 2.0 for AI Overviews
With AI Overviews, users receive a summary of the most relevant sources when performing a search in Google’s search engine. Now Google announces via a blog post that Gemini 2.0 is coming to AI Overviews. The model is said to be capable of answering more difficult questions such as coding, advanced mathematics, and multimodal search queries. This improved edition of AI Overviews is also expected to generate more accurate output.

“With the advanced capabilities of Gemini 2.0, we offer faster, higher-quality answers and show AI Overviews more frequently for these types of searches”, according to Robby Stein, Vice President of Product for Google Search, in a blog post. For now, the improved version of AI Overviews is only available to users in the United States.
