Fujitsu also now has a home-made AI agent. Kozuchi AI Agent cooperates with humans and performs autonomous tasks.
If GenAI was the tech word of 2023, AI agent is that of 2024. After Salesforce, ServiceNow and Microsoft, among others, Fujitsu is now unveiling an AI agent for its platforms. Fujitsu Kozuchi AI Agent is a service that performs autonomous AI tasks and collaborates with humans.
Offered through the Fujitsu Data Intelligence PaaS platform, the new service will initially target business discussions on profitability and negotiations. Fujitsu plans a broader rollout in 2024 and plans to expand the applications to other areas such as production management and legal.
Full team member
The Fujitsu Kozuchi AI Agent is designed to function as a full-fledged team member, with the ability to independently make suggestions that can provide new insights. The system can analyze abstract problems and break them down into concrete tasks, which are then executed using different AI models. In this regard, Fujitsu offers both proprietary AI models, such as Takane for advanced language processing, and external solutions.

A practical example of the application is the use of the AI agent in meetings. If during a meeting it appears that, for example, sales figures have halved, the AI agent could run various models to analyze this. Then, for example, the agent could provide a summary of the figures by region, clarifying that only sales in a particular region are falling.
Data first, then AI
Fujitsu sees the Kozuchi AI Agent as an important addition to its digital offerings. With this service, the company aims to increase productivity and drive a transformation of business processes, with the goal of making companies more efficient through the deployment of generative AI technology.
Fujitsu recently revealed its vision of the AI hype in detail to ITdaily. For the company, trust and reliable data are crucial cornerstones for AI. First good data and then good AI, is the Japanese company’s motto.
