Chrome Enterprise implements a visual change to its browser, which should make the distinction between a private or business profile clearer for users.
Google Chrome Enterprise modifies the layout of its browser so that users can more quickly and easily see whether they are working in their personal profile or in the profile managed by their company. Moreover, employees gain more insight into which functions and data are managed by the company. Does your company not use this ‘work’ function? In upcoming releases of Chrome, users would still receive an indication when they are in a managed profile.
Branding in Browser
Google Chrome Enterprise has announced an update that allows employers to add their branding to employees’ accounts. By clicking on the avatar in the top right of your browser, you will see a clear distinction between your own profile and the profile managed by your company.

“This clear visual identity helps employees understand that they are working in a secure company profile, separate from their personal browsing experience,” according to Google. “Within the company profile, additional settings and controls may be present, and employees can get more information about what their company manages.”
According to Google, users whose company does not use this new badge feature “will still receive an indication that they are in a managed ‘work’ profile environment in upcoming Chrome releases.”
