AI Saves Belgian Employees 108 Minutes per Workday

Belgian employees save an average of 108 minutes per day thanks to AI, although the impact on companies remains limited, according to a study by The Adecco Group.

A study by The Adecco Group shows that Belgian employees save an average of 108 minutes per day thanks to AI, but this time saving rarely leads to added value for the organization. Nevertheless, Belgian employees are open to technological change and believe that AI creates new jobs.

The Adecco Group annually publishes its Global Workforce of the Future report. For the 2025 edition, input was gathered from 37,500 employees in 31 countries, including 475 in Belgium.

Employees on the Sidelines

The Adecco Group’s research shows that Belgian respondents estimate their time savings from AI at an average of 108 minutes per day, comparable to the global average of two hours. However, only 24 percent say they can measure the impact of this efficiency, indicating a missed opportunity for organizations.

Additionally, 63 percent of Belgian employees expect their employer to integrate AI agents into the workflow within the year. But only 21 percent are currently involved in rethinking work processes where AI plays a role. This share is 30 percent worldwide. Belgian employees thus largely remain on the sidelines, despite the increasing digitization of their tasks.

Confidence in AI

Confidence in AI appears to be strong among Belgian employees. 78 percent see their tasks evolving due to AI (compared to 70% worldwide). Moreover, they state that the technology enables them to perform tasks that were previously impossible.

Nevertheless, a certain degree of uncertainty remains. Although 71 percent believe that AI creates new jobs, 18 percent also fear job loss (compared to 23% worldwide).
