Adobe will stop its AR development software Aero from November because “the AR landscape has changed since 2020.”
Adobe will end its augmented reality development software on November 6, 2025, as announced on its FAQ page. Aero, the software intended for use with mixed reality glasses, will remain available until November 6. After that, users have until December 3 to export their projects before they are deleted. According to Adobe, “the Augmented Reality landscape has changed since 2020”, and the team will focus on alternative development areas.
The End of Aero
Adobe announces that its augmented reality development software, Aero, will no longer be usable on iOS, Android, and Creative Cloud Desktop from November 6, 2025. Aero will be permanently discontinued on December 3, 2025. From that moment, users will no longer have access to files from Adobe’s servers. Technical and customer support will also be terminated from then on.

Furthermore, all data from Aero users will be deleted from Adobe’s servers on December 16. “After this date, it will no longer be possible to recover or download files”, the company states. Developers can still export their created projects until December 3.
