Adobe’s AI tool edits up to 10,000 images in one click

Adobe Firefly Bulk Create

Adobe’s new AI tool Firefly Bulk Create can edit up to 10,000 images simultaneously in one click.

Adobe is introducing a new generative AI tool to help simplify large production tasks. Firefly Bulk Create could edit up to 10,000 images simultaneously, from resizing to removing backgrounds. Adobe announced this new AI tool via a public press release, which has since been taken offline. The Verge noted the announcement in a timely manner.

10,000 images

Up to 10,000 images, that’s how many the new AI tool Firefly Bulk Create can edit simultaneously. Launched in beta, the AI tool is split into two separate tools, “Remove Background” and “Resize.”

This tool seems mainly of interest to product marketers who need to edit large batches of product images. Instead of editing each image individually, users can resize or replace the background of a large batch of images in one click. That background can then be replaced with a color, hex code or specific background image. The result can be saved as a png or jpg file. Later psd files will also be made possible.

APIs for Firefly

In addition, Adobe is adding new APIs to Firefly in the next few weeks, allowing developers to speed up various video and print production workflows. For example, the “Dubbing and Lyp Sync” API can translate and edit lip movements in 14 languages.

Furthermore, Adobe is offering a new InDesign tool that can automatically format text and graphics for print and digital media based on predefined templates. Finally, “digital avatars” will also be available in beta this month, which can be used to present videos and product explanations.

Great power

AI tools that can process such large volumes simultaneously require a large amount of power and thus come with a price tag. According to Adobe, the fee will be based on consumption. This could require users to pay for a premium Adobe Firefly subscription, which uses generative credits that can be outsourced to different functions.
