Pure Storage is expanding its platform with new security features and deeper partner integrations. The enhancements are designed to help organizations detect, contain, and recover from cyberattacks more quickly.
‘Resilience’ is the common thread throughout Pure Storage’s announcements. According to the company, traditional security strategies don’t adequately account for storage. Threats are often hidden within the data itself, and without visibility into that layer, attacks remain undetected for too long.
Therefore, Pure Storage’s platform is gaining new capabilities for real-time threat detection, automated response, and recovery at the data level. This approach is embedded within the broader concept of the Enterprise Data Cloud, enabling organizations to centrally manage all their data regardless of where it resides.
A key component of the renewal is Pure Storage’s ‘threat network.’ This network shares cyber threat signals with partner security solutions. This allows attacks to be stopped at the storage layer before they can spread.
Integrations with CrowdStrike, Superna and Veeam
The collaboration with CrowdStrike ensures that data from Pure Storage is integrated into the Falcon Next-Gen SIEM platform. Customers gain real-time insight into suspicious activities and can respond automatically, for example by isolating systems or stopping replication.
Additionally, there’s a partnership with Superna, which provides monitoring at the user and file level. As soon as malicious behavior is detected, accounts are blocked and security policies are automatically enforced. The integration is available for both FlashArray and FlashBlade.
Recovery As-A-Service
Finally, Pure Storage and Veeam are collaborating on an as-a-service formula focused on post-attack recovery. This service combines automation, visibility, and data recovery within a policy-driven environment.

Prevention is Important in Security, but so is Recovery
The goal is to reduce recovery times and lower operational costs. Later, Pure Storage will launch ‘recovery zones,’ enabling companies to automatically set up isolated recovery environments after an attack.
With these expansions, Pure Storage aims to position its platform as an active component within organizations’ cybersecurity strategies. The company no longer wants to be seen merely as a storage layer, but as a system that helps detect, contain, and recover from attacks more quickly.
