Several websites of cities and towns in Belgium have been hit by a cyber attack by a pro-Russian group.

A pro-Russian group has set its sights on cities and towns in Belgium, according to a report by VRT NWS. The group is carrying out a DDoS attack that is bringing down a lot of websites, including those of the province of Limburg and East Flanders. In addition, the websites of Brussels and Liège are also at risk. Meanwhile, some websites are back online, others are still down.

Cyber attack

A pro-Russian group has set its sights on the websites of cities and towns in Belgium. Known as “NoName,” the Russian collective is trying to make the website unreachable by sending massive Internet traffic to the website and overloading it. This is a Distributed denial-of-service attack(DDoS), which means that a particular service is made inaccessible.
