Do hackers have data on you? Check it for free on new website

With DataBreach.com, an alternative to Have I Been Pwnd appears, where you can check for sensitive data circulating online.

Data breaches are rife, so there’s a good chance your data is circulating online too? Did you have a Facebook account in 2019? Or an Adobe account in 2013? Then you probably already have a prize. Keeping track of which data became publicly available via which leak and when is a hopeless task on your own. With Databreach.com, the American Atlas Privacy is now launching a handy site where you can track what is circulating online.

Search by phone number

The setup is the same as Have I Been Pwnd, but Databreach has a slightly more extensive database. Have I Been Pwnd can only tell you based on your e-mail address whether your data has been stolen before. Databreach.com also works on the basis of phone numbers. For U.S. users, it adds the ability to see if their Social Security number is up for grabs online.

Databreach does not store searches. So it’s not like you once again put your email address or phone number into a database when you search for something. If you search for your phone number, for example, Databreach looks in the stolen databases circulating on the dark web. Those are bundled by hack.

Overview

If your data is found in a database, you get a handy overview of what caused the leak and exactly what data was captured. You can click on a result to get more details about the leak.

It’s a good idea to enter your mail addresses and phone numbers into the search engine sometime. That way you’ll discover what data is all available online. See a leak in which your mail address and password were stolen, dating from after your last password change? Then you know what to do.
