More specifically, personal data from Carrefour Mobile has been leaked. The company is currently working with an external partner to map out the incident. Users with a Carrefour Mobile SIM card may be victims of a data breach. The company reports that personal data is circulating online. The Carrefour Mobile website has currently been taken offline as a precaution. Users are currently unable to make any changes to their account. As soon as the website is back online, users can regain access by setting a new password.

Carrefour shares an overview of which data may have been exposed on its support page. This includes your Carrefour Mobile username and password, email address and phone number, full name and date of birth, residential address (street, city, postal code, country), passport or identity card number, subscriber number, and technical identification data (such as IMSI).

“We are currently working closely with an independent cybersecurity and forensic investigation firm to determine the exact cause and extent of the incident,” Carrefour stated in an announcement.
