Ubiquiti launches UniFi Industrial series with rugged Cloud Gateway

Ubiquiti introduces UniFi Industrial, a new product line for network installations in demanding environments. The first device in the series is the Cloud Gateway Industrial.

Ubiquiti launches UniFi Industrial. With this new product family, Ubiquiti is targeting industrial environments where network equipment must be continuously available. The new line is built to withstand dust, vibrations, and temperature fluctuations. According to the company, the hardware is specifically designed for locations where standard equipment falls short, such as production halls, outdoor sites, and remote installations.

Industrial expansion of UniFi

The Cloud Gateway Industrial marks the starting point of the new series. The device builds on UniFi’s 10 Gigabit gateways but features a reinforced housing and a fanless design. This is intended to increase reliability in environments where active cooling is vulnerable.

The gateway supports dual-band WiFi 7 and offers connections for external antennas, allowing for flexible placement. Users can position the device horizontally or vertically, mount it under a desk, attach it to a wall, or integrate it into a 19-inch rack. An optional kit with a power module is available for rack mounting.

90-watt PoE

Ubiquiti provides multiple PoE++ ports with a power output of up to 90 watts per port. This allows the gateway to directly power downstream switches or LEO satellite terminals. The device itself can be powered via the included power supply or through a 48V 4-pin DC connection.

Internal SD storage makes it possible to run UniFi applications locally on the device. Additionally, external SIM slots are provided for mobile connectivity in combination with UniFi 5G Outdoor. This is designed to simplify the deployment of networks in remote locations.

For centralized management, Ubiquiti is also introducing Site Manager. This management layer allows multiple UniFi and UniFi Industrial environments to be managed via a single interface. According to the company, there are no separate licenses or recurring management fees associated with using this platform.

The Cloud Gateway Industrial is available immediately for a suggested retail price of €520 excl. VAT. VAT.
