TP-Link introduces the Deco BE25 Outdoor, a water and dust-resistant WiFi 7 router that adds outdoor mesh coverage to existing Deco networks via wired or wireless connection.
TP-Link launches the Deco BE25 Outdoor. This is a Wifi 7 router designed for outdoor use. The device is compatible with existing Deco systems and supports Power over Ethernet.
The Deco BE25 Outdoor is intended to extend stable WiFi coverage to the garden or other outdoor spaces. TP-Link does not exclusively target professional users. The device is more relevant for those who want to work in the garden at home during nice weather.
The IP65 enclosure protects the device against rain and dust. The router supports the Wifi 7 standard and offers maximum speeds up to 3.6 Gbps via a dual-band connection (5 GHz and 2.4 GHz). TP-Link highlights functionality such as Multi Link Operation (MLO), 4K-QAM, and 160MHz channels, which adequately support outdoor connectivity.
The router integrates into existing Deco Mesh networks via the Deco app and also functions as a standalone access point. Users can combine up to ten Deco devices in one network with the same name and password. The device has two 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports, one of which can serve as a Power over Ethernet input. TP-Link does not provide a PoE switch or injector. Additionally, the device has a built-in power supply for connection to a standard outlet.
AI and Mesh
For network settings, the BE25 Outdoor uses so-called AI-Driven Mesh technology. This is a very hype-sensitive name indicating that the device works in a mesh context and users will always connect to the most optimal access point, which is naturally the purpose of mesh.
The device naturally supports WPA3 encryption and comes with TP-Link HomeShield. This offers features such as parental controls, Quality of Service (QoS), and network reports.
The router is easy to mount on a wall or pole with the included materials, or can be placed freely. Installation is done via the Deco app. The Deco BE25 Outdoor is immediately available for a recommended price of 149 euros.
