Palo Alto Networks Focuses on 5G with the Introduction of Prisma SASE 5G and New Collaborations
Palo Alto Networks is not coincidentally launching a new solution on the sidelines of MWC: Prisma SASE 5G. This is a cloud-based security platform for service providers, which builds on the company’s existing Prisma SASE solution. Additionally, the company is expanding its private 5G collaborations with seven new partners.
Security for 5G Networks
With the growth of 5G and connected devices, the threat of cyberattacks is increasing. Prisma SASE 5G offers service providers a solution to better secure their business customers. The SASE platform is based on the zero trust principle and uses AI to detect and block cyber threats.
The solution integrates directly into 5G networks and offers:
- Cloud-based SASE functionality, allowing service providers to quickly offer security services without major infrastructure adjustments.
- SIM-based authentication, which uniquely identifies and secures users and devices, regardless of their location.
- Protection against advanced cyber threats, using AI to detect and block zero-day attacks and malware in 5G traffic.
New 5G Collaborations
In addition to introducing Prisma SASE 5G, Palo Alto Networks announces collaborations with seven technology partners: Anterix, Nokia, NTT Data, Nvidia, OneLayer, Pente, and Telenor. These companies play a role in the development of private 5G networks and work together with Palo Alto Networks to integrate cybersecurity into the entire 5G infrastructure.
