Lancom expands its product range with the LW-700, a Wi-Fi 7 access point with a maximum data speed of 3.6 Gbps.
The German network specialist Lancom has expanded its product range today with the LW-700. This Wi-Fi 7 access point achieves a maximum data speed of 3.6 Gbps and supports IEEE 802. The model is intended for small to medium-sized networks and can be managed both stand-alone and via the cloud. The Lancom LW-700 is priced at 429 euros excluding VAT.
Wi-Fi 7
Where the previous series Wi-Fi 7-access Points LX-7500 and LX-7300 primarily focused on medium and large networks, this newcomer targets small and medium-sized networks.

The Lancom LW-700 supports the IEEE 802.11be standard and operates in both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. Thanks to 2×2 multi-user MIMO, the device can simultaneously send data to multiple clients, fully utilizing the available bandwidth and reducing delays. The access point can be powered via Power over Ethernet or with an optional power supply.
Management is possible via a web interface, a Lancom WLAN controller, or the Lancom Management Cloud, which supports zero-touch deployment and software-defined networking.
Energy Management and Security
The LW-700 features energy optimization functions through Lancom Active Power Control. In the so-called “Sustainability Mode”, power consumption is limited during inactive periods. The Active Radio Control 2.0 technology automatically analyzes and optimizes the Wi-Fi network, including channel allocation and transmission power.
In terms of security, the device supports WPA3-Enterprise, WPA3-Personal, and IEEE 802.1X authentication. Lancom emphasizes that the products do not contain hidden access points and comply with GDPR, even in sensitive environments.
The Lancom LW-700 is available at a recommended price of 429 euros excluding VAT and comes with a three-year warranty, extendable to five years.
