HPE launches the HPE Aruba Networking CX 8325P switch. It offers nanosecond accuracy for time-sensitive applications.
HPE has introduced the HPE Aruba Networking CX 8325P switch at MWC 2025. The new network switch offers nanosecond accuracy for applications that require low latency, such as AI workloads, private 5G networks, and Cloud Radio Access Networks (C-RAN).
Nanosecond Precision
HPE has developed the Aruba Networking CX 8325P to improve precision synchronization within networks. This is relevant for enterprises and telecom companies working with applications such as autonomous vehicles, industrial robotics, and broadcast technology. The switch offers improved performance for high-speed applications and reduces dependence on external time synchronization equipment.
According to HPE, a key feature of the new switch is the integrated precision timing within the network fabric. This ensures nanosecond accuracy for AI workflows and data transactions, among others. The technology theoretically also improves the quality of calls and network services in environments where mobile traffic continuously switches from one radio connection to another.
Alternative to Satellite
In contrast to other solutions that use the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) via satellites, HPE integrates PTP support directly into the switch. This reduces the need for separate timing equipment and provides redundancy for business and telecom networks. According to HPE, this approach ensures more efficient and cost-effective network synchronization.
With the introduction of the HPE Aruba Networking CX 8325P, HPE is targeting service providers and businesses that support time-sensitive applications. The new switch is intended to contribute to a more stable and faster network experience in sectors where low latency and accurate synchronization are important.
