WeTransfer limits free users to ten transfers per month from now on, but also adds new benefits to the free subscription.
WeTransfer, the popular file transfer platform, is imposing a limit on free users with a maximum of ten transfers per month. The company, which was recently acquired by Italy’s Bending Spoon, shares this on its support page, among some other new features for the free subscription. These include increasing the file transfer limit from 2 GB to GB, giving users an unlimited number of portals, reviews and file requests, and password protection for each transfer.

WeTransfer as of now limits users to ten transfers per month within the free subscription. Although some benefits are also being added to the free formula. For example, the file transfer limit will be scaled up from 2 GB to 3 GB, users can perform an unlimited number of portals, reviews and file requests, and password protection is available for each transfer. This summer, the company also increased the download link limit to 30 days for paying users, and seven days for free users.

In addition, WeTransfer is adding a new subscription plan called “WeTransfer Starter. This subscription has the same benefits as the free subscription, but with an increased limit of 300 GB and comes to $6.99 per month.
Finally, WeTransfer is bringing its Pro and Premium subscriptions under one subscription called Ultimate. This subscription comes to $25 per month.
