Visma announced the acquisition of Walloon-based TwinnTax, aiming to strengthen its offering for Belgian accounting firms.
The Norwegian software group Visma has acquired TwinnTax, a Belgian software company that helps accounting firms automate fiscal processes. With this acquisition, Visma aims to strengthen its position in the Walloon and Belgian market.
Founded in 2019, TwinnTax now provides software services to more than 1,200 accounting firms across Belgium. The company developed a workflow engine that collects, structures, and displays data from fourteen government platforms via dashboards. This allows accountants to segment their clients and automate tasks, particularly regarding forms 281 and 273 and other fiscal obligations.
Maintaining Independence
TwinnTax’s founder, Olivier Daxhelet, remains at the helm and indicates that the team and brand name will be retained. The company will continue to operate as a separate entity within the Visma Group. According to Daxhelet, the collaboration with Visma will help scale up the platform further and accelerate product development.
