Visma acquires the Dutch invoicing platform WeFact to expand its software offering for SMEs in the Netherlands.

The Norwegian software group Visma has acquired WeFact, a Dutch invoicing platform. According to the company, WeFact supports 45,000 entrepreneurs and collaborates with approximately 1,000 accounting firms. They use the platform in combination with existing accounting packages to streamline invoicing processes for clients.

Ecosystem expansion

WeFact focuses on invoicing for small and medium-sized businesses. The platform offers features for quotations, recurring and subscription invoicing, e-invoicing via Peppol, and integrations with various accounting and payment solutions.

With the acquisition, Visma adds an invoicing front-end that is close to the end user. The software connects to other Visma solutions and integration partners such as Yuki, eAccounting, TimeChimp, and Outsmart. In this way, Visma aims to further expand its ecosystem around administrative and financial processes.

By incorporating WeFact into the group, Visma can offer its customers a closer link between the tools that entrepreneurs use daily and the back-office solutions of accountants. This should reduce manual work and accelerate data exchange between both parties.
