Infoblox Acquires Axur to Address External Digital Threats Faster

Infoblox acquires Axur with the ambition to expand its security approach to detect and stop external digital threats such as phishing, brand abuse and credential theft more quickly.

Network and security specialist Infoblox announces the planned acquisition of Axur. That company offers AI-powered security against threats outside the traditional network. The acquisition should help Infoblox expand its security offering in an effort to arm organizations against brand abuse, credential theft and other external risks.

Quickly detected

Axur’s technology makes it possible to detect phishing activities within minutes and to quickly take almost all malicious infrastructure offline. Thanks to AI automation, phishing websites, fraudulent domains and fake mobile applications are automatically recognized and removed.

In collaboration with Infoblox, organizations can now also block communication with malicious infrastructure at the DNS level before an attack effectively starts.

The combined approach focuses on detecting external threats on channels such as social media, app stores and fake websites, often before they are effectively deployed. This focus on prevention responds to the changing threat landscape, in which attackers are increasingly using AI for their campaigns.

Automation

The use of automation limits the need for manual follow-up by security teams. Axur’s technology also contributes to the rapid identification of responsible parties via network data and IP addresses.

Infoblox and Axur will continue to operate as separate entities until the acquisition is complete. The transaction is still subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the spring of 2026.
