Commvault and Kyndryl are partnering with Pure Storage to support organizations with cyber recovery and compliance with regulations such as DORA and NIS2.
Commvault is expanding its collaboration with technology service provider Kyndryl. The joint focus is on improving organizations’ cyber resilience and accelerating recovery after incidents. To this end, Kyndryl now offers a more comprehensive portfolio, including Cyber Incident Recovery, Managed Backup Services, and Hybrid Platform Recovery.
Together with Pure Storage, the three companies are focused on supporting organizations that need to comply with increasingly stringent international regulations. These include the European DORA, NIS2, and PSD2 directives.
Four Layers
The services are based on a modular architecture with four layers. It starts with an isolated data vault, based on zero-trust principles, to protect backups. Additionally, there is a secure Clean Recovery Zone for forensic investigation and controlled recovery.
The third layer offers rapid recovery of large datasets via Pure Storage FlashBlade. Finally, snapshot replications with Commvault IntelliSnap and Pure Storage FlashArray ensure quick recovery of business-critical workloads.
Automation
According to the companies, the combination of technology and services makes it possible to automatically and continuously test cyber recovery processes. This can help organizations comply with provisions regarding risk management and operational resilience testing.
The joint services are available in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Customers can choose implementation in public cloud environments or in Kyndryl-managed recovery environments on-premises.
