Cegeka Expands Its Network and Opens a Modern Security Operations Center (SOC) in the United States

Cegeka has opened a new Modern Security Operations Center (SOC) in Buffalo, New York. This strengthens the company’s global presence and now offers customers 24/7 protection against cyber threats, regardless of the time zone.

International SOC network

The new SOC in the US is housed in the headquarters of CTG, a subsidiary of Cegeka. The center complements the existing SOCs in Belgium and Romania and is part of Cegeka’s strategy to expand its cybersecurity capacity internationally. ‘With this expansion, we can better serve our international clients, regardless of the time zone,’ says Fabrice Wynants, Global VP Cybersecurity & Networking at Cegeka.

‘Our clients can rely on our Managed Detection & Response services 24/7 according to the highest standards, no matter where they are located. This provides additional peace of mind and ensures compliance with regional data security and privacy requirements.’

According to Cegeka, the demand for advanced security solutions has increased, partly due to stricter regulations and the shortage of cybersecurity specialists. The Modern SOC combines automated detection with human expertise. This approach aims to ensure faster threat detection and more efficient incident response.

European identity

The concept of a Modern SOC differs from a traditional SOC in that it not only focuses on prevention, but also on recovery and adaptability. According to Cegeka, this is necessary given the increasing complexity of cyber attacks. Through tools such as the Security Observability Dashboard, the company aims to provide businesses with insight into their security status and help increase their resilience.

Cegeka emphasizes that the expansion to the US fits within a broader strategy where the company wants to grow internationally without losing its European core identity. The expansion should also contribute to better compliance with regional privacy and security standards for international customers.
