Atos and Fortinet will now coordinate their partnership globally, where it previously ran country by country. The companies combine the resale of security solutions with managed security services.
Atos has announced that it is expanding its partnership with Fortinet into a globally coordinated alliance. Until now, each country managed the partnership separately. The companies are aligning business development, customer relations, service delivery and commercial terms worldwide. They want to offer organisations a uniform framework for securing hybrid and multicloud environments.
Global partnership
Fortinet provides cybersecurity technology and global support. Atos supplies consulting, integration and managed security services, as well as global deployment capacity. On top of that comes a network of seventeen Security Operations Centers (SOCs), which according to Atos process more than 31 billion security events a day and serve over 2,000 customers.
Customers get the cybersecurity services of Atos with the latest Fortinet technology integrated into them. According to the companies, this allows organisations to better secure their cloud and on-premises environments, simplify their security processes and detect threats faster.
Hybrid multicloud environments
Günter Koinegg, Global Head of Cybersecurity Services at Atos, says the partnership fits the strategy of making use of technology ecosystems. By combining Fortinet’s technology with Atos’s expertise, the company wants to offer consistent and scalable protection for hybrid and multicloud environments.
Products of the Eviden brand, such as data encryption and identity and access management solutions, are not covered by this agreement. Atos and Fortinet have not said when the global alignment of commercial terms will be finalised, nor what this means for existing customers in Belgium.
