Such agents are capable of reasoning and taking over difficult tasks from humans. Big tech giants such as Google and Apple have already latched onto AI agents. OpenAI even believes the AI agent will become “mainstream” by 2025, the Financial Times reports.

OpenAI announced at its developer event new APIs that developers can get started with. One of the most important is the real-time API, which supports natural speech conversations in six different voices.
