The new display uses Flip-Chip IMD technology, with a pixel pitch of less than a millimeter.
Sharp expands the FE3 series of LED displays with a model that places pixels just 0.95 millimeters apart. This ensures that the displays deliver detailed and uniform images even up close, making them suitable for meeting rooms, control rooms, TV studios, and retail environments.
Sharp Image at Close Range
The new module uses Flip-Chip IMD technology, making grid lines barely visible even from half a meter away. The screens are available in standard sizes of 104, 110, 135, and 165 inches. Customization is also possible for specific spaces, such as boardrooms, training facilities, or trade show booths.
This addition means that the FE3 series offers a pixel pitch under a millimeter for the first time. This makes the model suitable for applications where detail and color representation are crucial, such as architectural presentations or product demonstrations.
More Energy-Efficient Design with Front Access
Sharp also emphasizes energy consumption. According to the company, the new display uses up to 60 percent less energy than traditional LED solutions with comparable brightness. Less heat development can improve usability in spaces with continuous use, such as airports, shopping malls, and hospitals.
The metal casing contributes to heat dissipation and is flame retardant. The slim design allows for mounting flush against the wall. Maintenance can be performed entirely from the front, simplifying installation and service.
With this expansion, Sharp targets organizations seeking high image quality at short viewing distances, combined with lower energy consumption.
