Samsung releases two new devices for professionals working in challenging conditions.
Samsung expands its Galaxy range with two new robust devices: the Galaxy XCover7 Pro and the Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro. They are designed for work environments where dust, water, shocks, and extreme temperatures are not uncommon, such as in logistics, industry, and emergency services.
Solidly Built
Both models are IP68 certified and meet the military standard MIL-STD-810H. The Tab Active5 Pro receives additional screen protection thanks to reinforced glass (Gorilla Glass Victus+). The 6.6-inch (XCover7 Pro) and 10.1-inch (Tab Active5 Pro) screens have a refresh rate of 120 Hz and also respond to touch with gloves.
The devices do not run on Android 16, but on Android 15, and Samsung opts for a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. The smartphone has 6 GB of memory and 128 GB of storage, expandable with a memory card. Multiple variants are available for the tablet.
Replaceable Battery
The XCover7 Pro is equipped with a replaceable 4,350 mAh battery. The Tab Active5 Pro has a 10,100 mAh battery that can be swapped without completely shutting down the device. During the swap, certain functions are temporarily unavailable. The tablet can also operate without a battery via a fixed power connection.
The XCover7 Pro will be available from May 8, 2025, with the Tab Active5 Pro following in June. Prices are not yet known.
