Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold7, the latest generation in the foldable Z series. The new model promises a lot, but comes with a hefty price tag.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is the lightest foldable in Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series, weighing just 215 grams and measuring 8.9 mm thick (when folded). This latest in the series promises better performance, advanced camera features, and smart AI technology. All in a slim yet robust model.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a recommended retail price of €2,099 incl. VAT. Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7, Samsung simultaneously announces the new Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 EE.

Bright display
The device features a larger main screen with a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen and an 8-inch main screen, designed to provide a more immersive experience. The display is also clearly visible, even in bright sunlight, with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The new design makes multitasking and content editing easier and provides more workspace.
Camera and AI performance
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is equipped with a 200 MP wide-angle camera, which captures four times more detail than previous models and delivers sharper, clearer images. The camera also features AI-enhanced image processing, which automatically optimizes exposure, details, and colors, even in low light. Additionally, the device offers various AI-driven editing options for photos and videos, such as automatically removing distractions or enhancing images with generative editing.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a processor that significantly boosts performance, enabling AI tasks to be executed faster and more efficiently. This ensures an improved user experience, from real-time translations to generative edits of images.
Durability
Samsung has improved the durability of the Galaxy Z Fold7 with a redesigned hinge and stronger materials in the construction, such as Armor FlexHinge and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. The device also offers advanced security features with Samsung Knox Matrix and post-quantum cryptography in Secure Wi-Fi, ensuring user privacy even on public networks.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is available for pre-order from July 9 and will be generally available from July 22. The device is available in four color options: Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Jetblack, and Mint, with a recommended retail price starting from €2,099 incl. VAT. Additionally, Samsung offers the Fast Track Support service, which helps users quickly and efficiently with problems or repairs.
