Oppo introduces three new models in the A6 series: the A6 5G, A6x 5G, and A6x 4G. According to Oppo, the three devices offer powerful performance, long battery life, and fast charging capabilities.
Oppo has expanded the A6 series with three new models: the A6 5G, A6x 5G, and A6x 4G. These smartphones are designed to meet users’ daily needs and aim to stand out with “powerful performance and battery life.” The A6 series is available in various price ranges, providing a suitable option for every budget.
The devices feature screens with high refresh rates of up to 120 Hz and robust batteries, making them suitable for both content consumption and work tasks.
Focus on battery performance
One of the key features Oppo is highlighting for its A6 series is battery life. With a capacity of up to 6,550 mAh for the A6 5G and 6,100 mAh for the A6x models, the manufacturer claims users can rely on long sessions without recharging. The batteries are designed to handle demanding scenarios, such as long calls and video streaming. According to Oppo, charging is fast thanks to the 45W SUPERVOOC™ Flash Charge technology, which should fully charge the battery in just 88 minutes.
The long battery life ensures that users need to charge less often, which should benefit the overall durability of the devices.
Advanced technologies
The 5G variants utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 Mobile Platform, while the 4G models run on the Snapdragon 685 4G Mobile Platform. With SGS certification for IP66, IP68, and IP69, the Oppo A6 5G is resistant to powerful water jets, immersion in water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes, and exposure to hot water up to 85°C.
Oppo promises three years of OS updates and six years of security updates for the series. All three devices are available immediately. The Oppo A6 5G is available from €269 incl. VAT, the Oppo A6x 5G from €229 incl. VAT, and the Oppo A6x 4G from €159 incl. VAT. Only the 5G model features 256 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM. The other two devices come with 128 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM.
