OnePlus introduces its latest OnePlus 15R with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and a 7400 mAh battery.
OnePlus has launched the 15R with a focus on performance, battery, and screen. The smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, which OnePlus claims to have developed and optimized with Qualcomm for 24 months. The new generation is said to deliver 36 percent faster CPU performance, 11 percent faster GPU performance, and 46 percent better AI performance than the previous generation. A month ago, the company launched the OnePlus 15.
The OnePlus 15R is available in black and green, for a suggested retail price of 699 euros including VAT (2 GB RAM + 256 GB storage) and 799 euros including VAT (12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage).
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset
OnePlus 15R has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset on board, which has been developed and optimized by OnePlus and Qualcomm together for two years. The OnePlus 15R is said to be the first device to house this chip and offers 36 percent faster CPU speeds, 11 percent faster GPU speeds and 46 percent better AI performance compared to the previous generation of chipsets.
Screen
The OnePlus 15R has a 6.83 inch LTPS 1.5K AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a pixel density of 450 ppi. According to OnePlus, the panel achieves a peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits and can dim to 1 nit when Reduce White Point is enabled.



The device combines the screen with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a separate touch response chip. OnePlus also mentions a sampling rate of 3,200 Hz, intended to speed up input response and scrolling.
Large battery
The device is equipped with a 7400 mAh battery, slightly larger than its predecessor. The battery is equipped with OnePlus’ 80 W SUPERVOOC technology. According to the company, this powerful battery still retains at least 80 percent capacity after four years.
Camera capabilities
The OnePlus 15R is armed with a 32 MP selfie camera with autofocus. At the rear is a 50 MP main camera with Sony IMX906 sensor, the same sensor that OnePlus also mentions on the OnePlus 15. In addition, there is an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 112-degree viewing angle. Processing is via the DetailMax Engine, according to OnePlus. Video can be recorded in 4K up to 120 fps, with editing on the device.
OnePlus Pad Go 2
At the same time, the company is launching its new OnePlus Pad Go 2. This device features a 12.1-inch screen with 7:5 aspect ratio, 88.5 percent screen-to-body, 284 ppi, 98 percent DCI-P3, up to 900 nits (HBM) and Dolby Vision support.
The tablet runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra. OnePlus provides a 10,050 mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC, good for 15 hours of video, 53 hours of music or 60 days of standby, plus reverse charging via cable, according to the company.
The device is available for a suggested retail price of 349 euros including VAT (8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage) and 449 euros including VAT (8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage).
