The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio will be available with us starting Feb. 22. The laptop aimed at creative professionals was announced back in September last year.
Microsoft will deliver its eccentric Surface Laptop Studio to the Belgian market starting Feb. 22. The basic configuration of the device will cost 1,699 euros including VAT. For that money, you get a device with Intel Core i5, 16 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD. The most expensive version of the laptop with Intel Core i7, 32 GB of RAM, a 2 TB SSD and an Nvidia GTX 3050 Ti will cost 3,199 euros including VAT. Microsoft still opts for 11th generation CPUs(Tiger Lake).
Microsoft announced the Surface Laptop Studio back in September last year during a special event. The laptop stands out because of its eccentric hardware. The device opens like a classic laptop but has an easel hinge (or Dynamic Woven Hinge in Microsoft-speak). This allows you to lay the screen flat over the keyboard. So that you get a (drawing) tablet. The laptop further has a 14.4-inch screen diagonal and gets 2,400 x 1,600 pixels at 120 Hz.
Creative pros
Microsoft is targeting creative professionals with the relatively powerful laptop. The device succeeds the Surface Book. That had a detachable screen so it could also serve as a laptop. This new model is one piece, though, allowing Microsoft to distribute hardware more traditionally across the base and screen.
