Microsoft is working on a completely revamped Task Manager within Windows 11. In the latest Insider Preview, you can activate the first test version.
It took a long time, but Microsoft is finally working on a revamped Task Manager for Windows 11. There is a tutorial on Twitter on how to enable the new Task Manager in the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview (Dev channel). Beware: don’t do this on your final machine because the feature still has bugs. The same goes for Insider Preview versions anyway: beware of instability and preferably only install on a device other than your everyday laptop or desktop.

Those running the Insider Preview who want to take a look (at their own risk) should first download ViveTool. Type cmd in the search bar, right-click and choose Run as administrator. Then type cd c:/vivetool or the location where you created the ViveTool folder. Then type in the four commands found below in the Twitter conversation.
Important: You must be running the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview, build 22538. We expect Microsoft to fine-tune the new Task Manager some more until the feature is rolled out by default within Insider Preview. Later this year, every Windows 11 user can expect the new Task Manager.
