Insta360 launches two AI webcams that combine 4K image and smart tracking for professional video calls.
Insta360 has launched two new AI-powered 4K webcams, the Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro. They are designed for creatives, teachers and professionals who work hybrid.
Two Models
The new Link 2 Pro and Link 2C Pro are equipped with a 1/1.3-inch sensor with dual native ISO, which ensures better performance in low light. Both models support HDR and use beamforming microphones with AI noise reduction. Users can choose from different audio modes, such as ‘Focus’ for a single speaker or ‘Wide’ for group calls.
Both webcams film in 4K at 30 fps and use Insta360’s renewed True Focus system with phase-detection autofocus. This keeps users in sharp focus, even when they move. There is also a ‘Natural Bokeh’ mode that simulates depth of field, similar to a DSLR camera.
AI tracking or fixed setup
The main difference lies in the hardware. The Link 2 Pro features a 2-axis gimbal with AI tracking for automatic framing of one or more people. The Link 2C Pro is static and intended for fixed workplaces. Both models support gesture control and come with a magnetic mount.
Extra functions such as Smart Whiteboard, DeskView and virtual backgrounds make the webcams suitable for education and presentations. Via the InSight service, users can also record, transcribe and summarise meetings. The Link 2 Pro costs 260 euros, the Link 2C Pro 219 euros.
