Google is launching a ‘repair program’ for the Pixel 9 series. Certain devices in this series are experiencing screen issues.
Google is introducing a free repair program for users with a Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, or Pixel 9 Pro Fold who are experiencing screen issues. You can use an online tool to check if your device is eligible for the free repair service. This repair service is valid for up to three years after purchase. With this program, Google aims to offer a free solution to users with specific screen issues.
Screen issues
Some Google Pixel 9 series devices suffer from vertical lines on the screen or screen flickering. Users who experience these issues will receive a free screen replacement. This only applies if the device has no damage that is not covered by the warranty, such as a cracked screen or liquid damage.
Conditions
Users can visit physical Google repair centers, authorized service partners, or use online options. A technician will first assess whether the device falls within the terms of the program. If this is the case, a free screen replacement will follow. The repair carries a 90-day warranty.

Devices that have similar problems but do not fully meet the criteria may be able to claim under Google’s standard limited warranty. Charges may apply for damage not covered by the warranty.
Google emphasizes that this program does not affect existing consumer rights. Customers retain all legal guarantees that apply in the country of purchase.
