The Google Pixel 9a is the latest model in the A-series. The phone features a smaller camera, battery life of up to 30 hours, and is powered by the Google Tensor G4 chip.
Google expands its Pixel phone lineup with the Pixel 9a. This newcomer is powered by the Google Tensor G4 chip and is equipped with all the handy features that the Pixel 9 series already has. According to Google, the device has a battery life of up to 30 hours and includes seven years of support for the operating system, security updates, and Pixel Drops. Of course, Gemini couldn’t be missing and is fully integrated.
The Google Pixel 9a will be available in stores from April at a competitive price starting at 549 euros including VAT, compared to other Pixel phones.
New Appearance
The Pixel 9a looks slightly different from other Pixel models, with a flat profile and rounded corners. The phone features a 6.3-inch Actua display. According to Google, this screen has the brightest display in the A-series, namely 35 percent brighter than the Pixel 8a, with 2700 nits and an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz for a smoother and more vibrant experience.

Camera
Google claims that the Pixel 9a has the best camera for this price point. The company has equipped this device with a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 48MP main camera (dual rear camera system). Moreover, the Pixel 9a is the first device in the A-series to feature Macro Focus, to capture the smallest details in photos or videos.

Furthermore, the device is equipped with AI-powered photography features such as Add Me, Best Take, and Magic Editor, as well as all the familiar features, including Magic Eraser, Audio Magic Eraser, Night Sight, Astrophotography, and the new Panorama with Night Sight.
Battery Performance and AI
The Pixel 9a is said to have the best battery performance compared to its siblings. Google states that the battery life is 30 hours, and even up to 100 hours with Extreme Battery Saver. Additionally, Google offers seven years of support for the operating system, security updates, and Pixel Drops.

Moreover, the Pixel A-series is the only smartphone line that includes Gemini Nano in its price range. The built-in Gemini AI assistant can answer all your questions and works closely with Google apps such as Maps, Calendar, and YouTube. Additionally, the Pixel 9a provides access to Gemini Live so you can have conversations with your device.
The Pixel 9a is available in various colors: Peony and Iris, as well as the classic neutral colors Porcelain and Obsidian. The smartphone will be available from April at a price starting from 549 euros including VAT.
