D-Link introduces four new Wi-Fi USB adapters compatible with Wi-Fi 4, 5, and 6.
The D-Link models are aimed at applications such as surfing, gaming, and 4K streaming on older or less well-equipped devices.
Support for Multiple Wi-Fi Standards
The four new models – AX18U, AX9U, AC13U, and AN3U – are designed to establish a wireless connection quickly and easily, regardless of the Wi-Fi standard used. The AX18U and AX9U support Wi-Fi 6 and are aimed at users who need high speeds for streaming and gaming, for example. The AC13U offers Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, while the AN3U is based on Wi-Fi 4.
With technologies like OFDMA and MU-MIMO, multiple devices can use the network simultaneously without compromising performance. All models use WPA3 encryption for network security. The USB adapters are compatible with Windows 10 and 11 and come with a two-year warranty.
Specifications per Model
The AX18U supports Wi-Fi 6 and delivers speeds up to 1,201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. A foldable antenna and support for USB 3.0 ensure a wide range and fast data transfer.
The AX9U combines Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5.3, which is convenient for connecting peripherals such as headphones or keyboards. This adapter offers up to 574 Mbps and is aimed at users who want to combine fast internet with wireless peripherals.
The AC13U offers dual-band Wi-Fi 5 up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. Thanks to automatic installation, the adapter can be quickly deployed on Windows systems.
The AN3U is the simplest of the four and supports Wi-Fi 4 with speeds up to 300 Mbps. This adapter is intended for basic use such as surfing, emailing, and light streaming. The compact design and lower price make it an option for students or home users.
